## 释义
1.科举制度中生员名目之一。明代生员都有月廪，并有一定名额，称廪膳生员◇又于正额之外，增加名额，称为增广生员。简称"增生"，无月米，地位次于廪生。见《明史．选举志一》。清沿袭明制。 
2.生物体某一部分组织的细胞数目增加，体积扩大。例如皮肤经常受摩擦，上皮和结缔组织变厚。
